Join Earth Day Beach Cleanups in Pacifica on Saturday, April 19, 2008

The Earth Day Pacifica 2008 City-Wide Cleanup
Day of Action
Led by Pacifica Beach Coalition
April 19th 9:30-11:30 A.M. in Pacifica

Join us as we and 900-1000 volunteers to clean up the beaches, bluffs, and creeks of Pacifica and San Mateo County, and as many of the streets, parks, and lots as we can. In an effort to extend the cleanup down the coast, the San Mateo County chapter of Surfrider Foundation would like to captain cleanups at beaches outside of Pacifica such as Montara, Greywhale Cove, or Frances Beach. The chapter is looking for interested persons to captain a Surfrider cleanup at one of these beaches. Please contact Steven Harman at steven.harman (AT) surfrider.smc.org if you are interested in leading a beach cleanup (it's easy!).

If you aren't leading a cleanup, please come out and participate in cleanups at Pacifica beaches or one of the habitat restoration projects at Linda Mar State Beach and other sites. Afterwards, the volunteers are meeting up for a celebration event with food at Sharp Point Park from 12-2. Come do a good thing for the world and have a good time!
