On Mon., April 28th, Adrian Ruiz, 24, of San Francisco, was attacked by a shark (sources differ on whether a "tiger shark" or "gray shark"), while surfing at Troncones Beach in the southern Mexican state of Guerrero.

Ruiz died on the way to a hospital, due to blood loss from the wound to his right thigh.
