Surf Art Show in San Francisco from March 2–April 13, 2012

Driftwood Salon is proud to present “Breaking Time”, a surf and travel art adventure. One can not fully experience nature in its full effects until one rides his first wave. There is sometime so spiritual about being propelled forward by the force of a swell. Every journey a surfer makes will stay in their lives forever.
For this group show, we wanted to show what it’s like to fly around the globe looking for the perfect swell. And it’s not just about the perfect wave, it’s also the different cultures we meet, the terrain we treck, and the different creatures we encounter along the way.
Breaking Time aims to speak to our viewer about the intimacies of wave hunting. Featuring the photography of Patrick Trefz, Alexander Schaffer Czech, Silvin Battaile Morgan, Paul Ferraris, Matt Proehl, Darren K. Akana, Rob Brodman, and John Lindsey.
Please join us on Friday March 2nd, from 6pm-10pm for an opening reception. We will be showing original framed works or all sizes and in color and black and white, as well as prints for sale.
Gallery hours for this exhibit will be Wednesdays to Saturdays, 12:00pm to 6:00pm, and there will also be a closing reception on Friday, April 13th.
